I did my measurements and compared them to the "before" one. Yep. Still got the world's biggest thighs but they are definitely slimmer than before. 17cm each to be exact.
I lost 800g this week. Down 11.2kg in total**. I am now 1.4kg outside the very top of my 'healthy weight range'. (I am 173cm tall) This is the bit that I find the hardest. I have been here before. So close and yet, so far. I feel determined this time though. This program really works for me.
This week, in addition to the resistance training (which isn't going that well for me, unless you count my one Aquarobics class?), I am going to focus on my water consumption. I have written a post before about the importance of drinking water for your weight loss efforts. I started really well with this, but I have noticed lately that my coke zero consumption has increased at exactly the same rate that my water intake has decreased.
The Food Patrol program doesn't encourage you to drink/eat fake sugars. Some of us are just a bit addicted to them. Ahem. Even though we know they are not good for us.
It is the one thing I haven't changed about my diet since doing this diet. What would my Great-Grandmother say? So, while I will not swear off all artificial sugars, I *will* commit to drinking one glass of water after every meal and snack. Back on track with water.
Are you a water drinker? And tell me, what do you think about Aquarobics?
* The Food Patrol is a sponsor of And then there were four.
** For those interested in the fine print, I now weigh 75.4kg

Oh no me too. Coke zero I hate/love you. sooo frustrating. chocolate - gone, chips - gone, lollies - gone, creamy food - gone, blah blah, coke zero, my substance of addiction. And I hate that. Thanks for the timely reminder.
Yay MM! Well done you. Sounds like a great program, and am so chuffed that you found a health program that 'fits' you. :)
That is one thing I'm quite good at as I don't do fizzy drinks although I love a coffee and apparently that dehydrated you....and I heard a tip that you should drink two glasses of water before each meal so you don't over indulge.... Don't think it would stop me, but good luck on the h2o!!!
I vastly prefer soda water to plain water. We buy the $0.75 1.25L stuff from Coles so it's not fancy, but it tastes that bit more interesting than plain water. I'm also much better at drinking water when I'm at work than at home, I keep a carafe thing on the desk and aim to empty it by the end of the day. At home I tend to forget until I'm really thirsty. When I was breastfeeding the doctor told me to drink 2-3L per day, and to measure it out into bottles/jug in the morning and drink from that all day. I did it for a while then got slack, should start again!
It's great that this is working for you.
Keep it up - all that weight loss - and those cms. Booya!!!
Nice work.
Happy H2O!
:-) x
Love aqua-arobics. Hate Coke Zero with as much passion as I hate cigarettes.
But I too am always guilty of never drinking enough water...
You are doing SO SO well.
xx
Your weight loss sounds fantastic! I am terrible at getting enough water as well, especially as the weather cools down. I always drink it room temperature, it seems easier to drink than cold water.
I don't mind the odd Coke Zero either but the hubs had quite an addiction and needed to cut down the caffeine for blood pressure so has switched to Saxby's Diet Ginger Beer. Just once a day, like a late night treat.
Woo to the hoo! You're a tall thing aren't you? I'm 165cm, so I'm guessing you're looking to break 70kg as I want to break 60kg. You know we're going to get there don't you? And I'm a closet water drinker. Cannot get enough. I try not to be too vocal or people roll their eyes a lot. But water. Rocks. My. World. And I watch aqua aerobics at my gym while I work out on the cross trainer on the mezzanine above the pool. They probably think I'm perving!! But it looks like a good resistance workout. I am love love loving my strength training. I just do it myself now. Lunges, squats, push ups, planks, biceps, triceps, dips. So good!
I suck at drinking water ... its just not my thing. But I am really really trying to be good at the moment.
As for your weight loss - SO very inspiring!
You're doing so well, MM - I love reading these posts and seeing where you're up to! Well done, lovely - you're almost there :)

Fantastic work, you must feel great xx
I'm a water drinker, at least one litre of plain water on working days, plus plain mineral water, less on non working days and during the cold months. On really hot days I'll drink one and a half to two litres on working days, but not when I'm at home on days off and sleeping through the hottest hours.
Well done you! Water - I do aspire to drink more, but like you it is directly proportional to the amount of diet coke I drink. I have become a mineral water addict though. With a squeeze of fresh lime juice its great - much more civilised that plain water!
I am almost exclusively a water drinker. That doesn't mean I always get enough water, it just means I don't think anything else LOL
So what if u can't finish a meal is it ok or u have to finish every meal and snack?? Keep up the great work u will achieve it keep ur mind strong :))
What if ur full and can't finish a Meal or snack?? Do u have to finish it all or it's ok??
